We opened Wild Thyme Herb Shop in 2010, in Bastrop, TX!  Prior to finding a brick and mortar, we offered native plants including trees, shrubs, herbs, flowers, sprouts and other Farmers Market worthy items that we grew on our ten acres of loblolly pines.  We enjoyed our time there at the Farmers Market!  Nancy started herb school in 2010, at the encouragement of Rebecca Petee Boucher who had just moved to the area to begin a new job as the Director of Education at the American Botanical Council in Austin.  She introduced Nancy to the idea that there was more to herbs than just their value as a spice in cooking.  From there, Nancy began studying herbalism at David Winston's Center for Herbal Studies.  David imparts a great deal of knowledge and wisdom to his students, so we recommend his school to anyone who is desiring to learn more about the medicinal uses of plants!
